The 2 Day Masterclass in Advanced Valuation of Pharmaceutical Licenses teaches techniques for the successful negotiation of pharmaceutical licenses and acquisitions.
Course Objectives
Learn advanced pharmaceutical valuation techniques. Examine a wide range of advanced approaches for valuing pharmaceutical deals, including licenses and acquisitions and decide when and how to use each one.
Interpretation of outputs from modelling. Examine the key value drivers and get to grips with how value can differ between buyers and sellers as a means of guiding the negotiation strategy.
Explore the alternative deal structure and how they can be modelled. See how different deal structures can be assessed using a range of analytical techniques.
Putting theory into practice. Work with like-minded people on practical exercises on the creation of a range of pharmaceutical license and company valuation models. Lecture sessions will be reinforced with delegates creating complex models using the techniques learnt. This puts your content learning into place and is followed by debriefing.
Learn from real examples of deals actually negotiated and valued. Course content includes real case studies of valuations and international deals that have been negotiated by the trainer. Each case history is designed to ensure that all participants are fully involved and they draw on real-life situations.

Dr. John Buckle is a highly experienced pharmaceutical consultant. He specialises in international development, licensing and acquisitions and supports governments, biotechs, specialty pharma and major multinationals with the implementation of their international growth strategies.
John is a pharmaceutical business developer and international deal-doer with extensive Board-level experience, an impressive deal sheet and a track record of growing businesses internationally.
Dr. Buckle maintains his operational skills by regularly working internationally in executive functions as an interim manager, where he regularly identifies, values and negotiates deals on behalf of clients.
